Chet Sekhon

Awesome. Thank you, Beth.

So that brings us to Solution 7. Now what exactly are we gonna be walking through and why are we diving into it?

So first and foremost, everything starts with the add on being built directly into Excel. So what that really means that when you can truly set it and forget it with real time refreshable reports because this is allowing you to build it once, Now you have a true template pulling from NetSuite real time and allowing you to move forward.

Because of this layer, you now have a two way sync that's gonna automatically stay up to date based on your live data pulling from NetSuite. And so now any new journal entries, any connected invoices, any new GL accounts, or any accounting period data will immediately pull the changes into your report for you on your behalf.

And then that leads us into what matters at, the tail end

Bethany Nyberg

know we can't. we can't see your screen.

If you were, we can't see your screen at the moment. I don't think.

Chet Sekhon

thank you for letting me know. Yep.

Alright. So let's clear that. And that is why I got to hit the share button.

Wanna ask one more time, does everybody see my screen grab? There we go.

So. we got through the. first half.

Chet Sekhon

Yep. We got through the first half without anything being presented at that stage. So now we have everything coming through.

Okay. Great. We have our animation. So just as a recap of the round of layers I was speaking to, really as a as a highlight, everything starts with, being able to have refreshable reports that are now templatized.

And then because all these layers are leading into the actual reporting side, it now gives you a real time two way sync between Excel and NetSuite. So because both of these layers are working hand in hand, now that's where all those updates around your transactions, around your accounting period lead to a faster month end close.

And this is where the FP and A side comes into just like we were talking about a couple of minutes ago, where now the not only the financial reports are gonna be updated directly, but also your budgeting, your forecasting can be pulled straight from Excel into NetSuite. And this is where the whole process around your month end close is gonna be expedited compared to how you're managing it today.

And at that stage, that brings us to the best part. And that's because with Solution 7, now everything is leaning into your standard and custom fields from NetSuite.

Even though you're operating within Excel, any specific subsidiaries, departments, segments are all supported out of the box, and this is gonna give you real time budgeting, forecasting, and overall reporting using your live NetSuite data. And this is gonna provide visibility that can scale and collaborate with you as you continue to move forward.

And this actually leads us to our very first poll of the day.

Bethany Nyberg

Awesome. Thank you, Chet.

So, hopefully, you can see a poll, off in the right hand side. The question is, how many hours a week are you spending, all my Excel friends, building Excel reports?

Under five hours, five to ten hours, or ten to twenty hours. So we would love to hear from you.

Pop in the box there, and let's let's see how much time you're all spending in your favorite tool, Excel. Alright, Chet.

That was wasn't our best start, but that's okay. We won't tell marketing.

We won't screen share to everybody.

Chet Sekhon

It's it's not like it's being recorded or anything, so they they definitely. won't be able to catch it.

Bethany Nyberg

know. Alright. Let's see how our poll is going. How many hours are you spending inside NetSuite?

So, Chet, I think if you pull down the slides, I'll put up the results. Let's take a peek.

Chet Sekhon

Sounds good.

Bethany Nyberg

Alright. Less than five hours. That's good.

That's great. It's what we like to see. Let's try and get that even lower.

Chet Sekhon

When we're looking when we're looking at those results, it is interesting to see that even between the less than five and the five to 10, both of those still add up to a good amount of hours across the audience that are here, and even enough of them being in the ten and twenty hour bucket, around that. So it is intriguing, right, Bethany, that, like, around the audience, it's safe to say that a good chunk of time is being used building these reports.

Awesome. So I'm gonna start sharing my screen once again. And as we pull everything back up and we dive into the demo at last, this is where the remaining components start coming into play as far as what we've seen with prospects up to date.

Because naturally, when y'all are coming into the conversation, our goal is to ensure that your primary pain points are gonna be addressed, and everything around that process typically starts with disconnected spreadsheets and manual rework across your reports, which typically ends up leading leading into losing your time across the business because you are manually working across inaccurate data instead of working with the data you can truly rely on. That also leads into the manual exports that you're working through from Zone to Excel, which lead into delays for your primary, your your timely reports, but also around limited visibility across your actual team.

And this ultimately brings everything together where it's truly difficult to maintain. And when you're trying to get your metrics, you're trying to get your KPIs across different teams, and each team needs their own specific view, both between securities, permissions, access to certain subsidiary or certain department.

Now you don't have to worry about that because around s seven, it's gonna take that new account with NetSuite. And so when it comes into your distribution and you're dealing with these issues where those teams aren't getting the reports that you need, that's where that time and that and that gap can be addressed head on because that's where Solution 7 can come into play in streamlining for you moving forward.

And that brings us to our demo at last. So now I just wanna confirm everyone sees Excel on your side.

Bethany Nyberg

Looks good, Chet.

Chet Sekhon

Fantastic. Figured this time for sure, we'll get a confirmation across the board.

Thank you for the thumbs up. I love the interactions as well.

So I'd like to welcome everybody to Excel, and you'll notice the fact that I've welcomed you to Excel specifically because everything around today's demo everyone's flooding the thumbs now. I love it.

Everything starts with Excel as a true application, and that's because as we bring your attention to the very top of your window, you're gonna see across the menu, within our menu ribbon in Excel itself, all of our functionality of s seven is now present. And this is truly how built in this solution is within something you're already using.

Because now when you're looking at your reports and you're working through different sheets across your financial financial visibility, you You can see at the bottom of your screen, we have income statement. We have a trailing twelve month revenue.

We have a variance report comparing year over year, taking your actuals and your budgets into account. You're rolling forecast, even giving you visibility into colorful hues and different kinds of element around conditional formatting that, again, were leading into Excel functionality while still using s seven.

And as we come into the actual data itself and we take a step back, why is this different? Right?

Why are we operating within Excel, but we're selling Solution 7? That's because Solution 7 provides you direct connection to NetSuite.

So let's say I opened up Excel for the very first time. I'm actually not gonna see any of these menu icons at the top.

I'm still gonna see Solution 7, but the very first icon actually is just gonna say activate. Then we'll see configure and exit.

That's it. Because the only thing you need to actually get into your s seven account within Excel is your NetSuite login. As long as you have SuiteAnalytics, that is the only requirement, the only prerequisite.

With SuiteAnalytics, we're able to tap into your NetSuite data and now pull your information from your ERP real time. And so that's why when you're working in something like an income statement and we take and we're, taking into account the five to ten hours that majority of the audience seems to be operating within even if it was in less than five hour bucket, now all your financial reports can pull from NetSuite instantly based on the segments or criteria you need.

So let's look at this income statement for an example. Right now, we have all of our data available to us for the year 2025 across all of our accounts, and it's giving it to me in a consolidated view.

So when I jump into my corresponding filter, this is going to actually show me all of the existing subsidiaries from my specific NetSuite instance. So in your example, you are gonna see only your subsidiaries in front of you.

So I'm able to switch it to, let's say, The US or The UK or the Mexican subsidiary. And now at that stage, it's going to refresh, pulling that corresponding data from NetSuite for that specific subsidiary.

And you can sense that this isn't just a filter that's taking static data, but it's pulling dynamic data, meaning if there are any changes to your transactions. If a transaction quite literally is completed by the time I'm done completing this sentence, now when I jump into, let's say, my year and I want to adjust it from 2025 to 2024, you're once again seeing the numbers change real time, flood the data from 2024, and pull in the context specifically for the US subsidiary.

And similarly, let's say if I wanna go back to my consolidated view, but now I wanna look at it for 2024, not only are you seeing the data come through, but you might have noticed we even gained a row or lost a row within our workbook between their report because the solution is intelligent enough to only show me the data that is relevant and has data that exists from NetSuite for that criteria. And mind you, you're not losing any of the data.

Right? It's still here. There's a nine. There's a 10.

Excuse me. There's a nine and eleven. But 10 is hidden in between because it's automatically doing that on your behalf, only showing you the information that's pertinent and relevant.

Now when I jump within the cells, you might notice that in the formula bar, it's tying out the criteria. So it is linking the cells based on the information it's reporting on, like my subsidiary, my posting period, my corresponding GL account.

And as I go cell to cell, you're seeing that formula actually stay consistent. It's a dynamic element that's pulling from NetSuite real time.

And this is one of the functions, which is a formula that's available within s seven. We're gonna get to that just in a couple of minutes.

We're gonna build that one from scratch, but you'll be able to see it for yourself operating within the actual, within the actual field in s seven. So I wanted to take a minute, pause, see if there's any questions in the chat, anything I missed so far.

Nothing so far. Right, Bethany? The Q&A?

I don't think so. Nope. We're good.

Oh, do we need to subscribe. to suite analytics?

I think the is there right here. Do we need to subscribe to suite analytics.

connect in order for Solution 7 to work? Yes.

That is the one requirement, for the connection to be live. I do believe there are a couple of different variations of suite analytics.

I can't recall if there's suite analytics connect, suite analytics something else. But as long as the suite analytics, offering, then that's the one requirement to be connected.

So, Alex, hopefully, I answered your question. If not, by all means, you can jump back in the Q&A.

Now, we've talked about how the information is coming together in this specific example. Another element is, of course, being able to understand how these reports come together.

So now what we're actually gonna do is we're gonna build out one of these reports from scratch so you can see all the different layers in the context that is relevant. As far as s seven having a live dashboard, it does not.

The live dashboards are gonna be the actual reports that you're building and templatizing. That's what we see as the dashboards, but you we lean into your Excel visualizations, graphs, and those different layers that will we'll be able to provide you dashboards along those lines.

I'm gonna show you a couple couple of examples as we work our way through the demo. It's a great question there, Susan.

Now as we are now on a blank screen, as mentioned, we're gonna build out one from scratch. And in order to build out build it out, we need to understand what are the two layers that make up Solution 7, and that starts with your lists and your functions.

So as I already alluded to, in our formula bar just a couple of minutes ago, we had our function that was clearing the actual data from NetSuite. So this is stage one.

Function is your first primary component as far as how you can pull your information from NetSuite. When within function, as I hit the drop down menu, you're gonna see a few different options between pulling from your NetSuite balances, pulling from your budgets, pulling based on an advanced query that takes into account, additional criteria like your date, custom segments, custom fields, and even leaning into your currencies.

Right? If you're gonna have reports that are giving you to a consolidated standpoint, but now you need to pull it using a live real time FX rate based on that corresponding subsidiary. It can do that on your behalf because, again, it's pulling from NetSuite.

You don't have to worry about where that conversion, what those rates are. It's pulling from your database, so everything stays consistent.

So, again, that's stage one. Functions make up the core element on how you can build it out.

Then that leads us to our actual lists. So lists are the second component.

With lists, you're gonna have your columns, rows, and pop ups giving you a variety of different ways you can pull your actual fields in your segmentation. Like, within accounting, you have your different accounting context, your accounts by name, by number, currencies, period, subsidiaries.

You also have classifications, like your class department and the actual locations leading into your relationships, like your customers, your vendors, your projects, etcetera. As mentioned, each of these menus give you the same exact options.

So, again, functions and lists make up the two primary components. So now for our very first cell with today's demo, we're actually gonna use functions, go into our balances, and within our balances, we have three separate options.

We have the ability to pull my data based on the account number or based on the account name or based on the account type. So there are a variety of different ways you can query your corresponding information that you need to see for your specific report.

So for the sake of the demo, we're gonna go ahead and use the first option, pulling based on the account number. As we do, Chet, you're gonna see NSGL Abel populate.

So this is the formula that we saw in the example we were just looking at with our income statement. As I clicked on my function, a dialog box popped up, and this dialog box might look familiar.

It's something you're accustomed to seeing in Excel. Again, the theme of today's demo is we're not trying to reinvent the wheel.

We wanna lean into you you using Excel the way you already are, but now it's just pulling NetSuite data on your behalf. So for my subsidiary, I'm gonna go ahead and look up my subsidiaries that exist for my environment.

For today's theme, we're gonna go ahead and select consolidated each and every time we work through this process. Then that brings us to our account.

Within our account, we hit look up once again, and now you see a full list of my chart of accounts from my demo environment from NetSuite pulling in real time. And the beauty of this is, number one, I can filter to any specific account I need, like my sales figure pulling an account 4,000, or maybe I wanna pull in a variety of accounts, like all of my accounts that start with the number four.

And now I've got all of those corresponding accounts coming in. Or maybe I just wanna pull a variety of different accounts, piecemealing it based on what I specifically need.

Whatever variation I can think of, I can pull that information specifically from NetSuite real time in this instant. And because I'm pulling it through this formula, that's why it's gonna be templatized for me moving forward in the future.

For the sake of today's demo, we're gonna stick with 4,000, keep it simple, pulling in our sales number. And now you can see quite literally within just about sixty seconds, maybe two minutes tops, I am now able to pull in a real time figure from NetSuite instantly into my Excel in front of you.

And so that's how how quickly that function formula is working because, again, as I come back to the formula bar, you can see the context that it's alluding to. It's pulling my criteria and my data based on the consolidated subsidiary for account 4000 and for the posting period of January 2025.

Now you can see how how legitimately it's pulling from NetSuite because it's coming in as a negative because it's coming in as a credit. So now I need to add a negative at the beginning of the formula, and just like that, have a positive dollar value coming into my cell.

That's how easy it was. That's how quickly it starts working. Now with the function pulling in the initial stage, now we are gonna go ahead and lean into our list.

For our list, we're gonna go to cell b six, go into our column, open our accounting option, and in this point, I'm gonna use accounts by number. As I do accounts by number this time, we're gonna see my dialogue box once again.

We're gonna do our consolidate subsidiary once again. But this time from our account, just like last time I kinda hinted at it, instead of a single account, we're gonna do a four with an asterisk using my wild card that you all are already accustomed to with an Excel.

And now what's gonna happen is that it's not just gonna pull in a single account, but it's gonna pull in all of the accounts that start with the number four. And the beauty of this stage is the fact that now, let's say, for example, you might have these corresponding accounts coming through, but an account 4005 was created tomorrow in the future.

Typically, we see prospects, and our presumption is that a lot of you that are on the call today, if you had to come in and change your account and pull in a brand new account, the manual effort and we work that goes into, updating that linkage, updating the formulas, making sure everything is pulling in accordingly and nothing gets missed all because a brand new account's been created can be extremely cumbersome and lead to various errors. Now going back to my initial comment at the very beginning of our call, this is how we can templatize your reports using s seven because that account 4005 will automatically come through now.

Any adjustments, any changes to your data will automatically come through because that query is pulling in all the accounts that start with 4000. So that's just one of the examples that really end up making a difference for our customers, not just saving their time, but make giving them a peace of mind around the reports and how they can stay maintained.

I'm I'm gonna continue building this out, and I'm gonna go ahead and jump back to the Q&A, to address any questions that are there. But for the sake of time, we're gonna go ahead and complete this build out.

Now as we're building it out, the next stage is gonna be using our pop up. And within our pop up, as I mentioned earlier, you have your accounting context.

And so for that, we're actually gonna use our subsidiaries. As we select our subsidiaries, then we finally have the ability to have a filter for that specific component.

So you guessed it. We're gonna do consolidate subsidiary once again for all of our data to come through. And at this stage, all that's missing is my corresponding year.

So maybe you're starting to see it come together because we have our subsidiary. We have our year.

We have our data pulling in context, and we have our rows. So all that's missing is, you guessed it, our columns.

Now as we come to d one, this time, we're actually gonna use something more familiar to you because the beauty of s seven is that you're not just using Solution 7 formulas, but you're using your Excel formulas as well. So the the possibilities and creativity that you can really approach this with, I know it's gonna sound a little crazy, but it almost puts the fun back into Excel if there was such a thing.

And I know it's a little bit of a paradox and an oxymoron, but I genuinely, genuinely believe that there's something about Solution 7 and how our customers are operating within it that puts a smile back on their face around their financial reporting and their visibility. And that starts with using your standard, your standard Excel formulas as well.

So at this stage, we'll use date. And for our date, we're gonna ensure that it ties out to our corresponding year and make sure everything is following through consistently.

Now we wanna be sure the format of it is also, not only consistent, but is consistent with how we want it reporting to tie out to our NetSuite report. And at that stage, all that's left is one last formula using our edate, which is now gonna ensure that as it works its way across, it's gonna go ahead and adjust and change accordingly.

And now you can literally see we very, very quickly, within seconds, really, have our columns set up for our report. Now in a perfect world, I'd be able to click and drag this across, and it would change based on the context, but it's not yet.

And that's because as I go ahead and back up a little bit, we go to our formula. You might recall when we built this out, it was all set to static variables.

A consolidated subsidiary account 4,000 for your period just for January's posting period. Now what we're gonna do is we're gonna update it to make it more dynamic.

In order to do that, we're going to use everything we just created that's pulling data from NetSuite real time. That's what's gonna make it so dynamic.

So for our subsidiary, we're gonna tie it to my filter. It being tied to my filter, now I'm gonna go ahead and lock it down as well so I can ensure it's not gonna change as it works its way across.

We're gonna do the exact same thing for our account, making sure as we lock it down to the column this time, it's only gonna adjust as it goes row to row for that corresponding account. That brings us to the very last step, making sure that our posting period ties out to that specific posting period for that specific year and that specific timeline.

And at this stage, all of a sudden, the exact same number that we had coming in with the exact same foundation of our formula has now turned into a dynamic real time formula pulling from NetSuite instantly. And just to show you really how real time it is, I can change by 2025 to 2024.

All the numbers have just changed accordingly. I'll turn it to 2026, which I'm pretty sure we don't have a lot of demo data in, but you can see because it's the first time I'm looking it up, it has NAs across the board because it's actually querying it real time for me.

So this is also giving you a visual into the very first time you might looks look up certain criteria. It might take a few seconds to pull in that specific information.

But once it pulls it in the first time, each and every time you're operating within that report, it's gonna maintain it, remember it, and push it significantly faster because now you have that real time report coming for 2026. Just like I go back to 2025, it's refreshing instantly.

And with this foundation built out, now, again, you get to have fun. You get to lean in Excel functionality, and maybe I wanna pull in my totals, And I wanna go ahead and bold it, maybe add a, a title for total sales, and maybe do the exact same thing with my columns.

And slowly but surely, maybe I remove the grid lines. It's coming together into a visually, templatized and appealing report.

So now remember this format. Remember this look. Remember everything you're looking at here.

As we switch from this version that we've built into a more complete version, all the numbers are the same. The structure is the same.

All the context is the same. But now coming back to your question from the very beginning, I believe it was Susan around a live dashboard, this is where the live dashboard starts coming into play.

You get to pull excuse me. You get to report and actually see your data and your figures and your layers update as you're working through it.

Because now as I switch to 2024, your pie chart's changing, your line graph's changing. These are just standard Excel reports.

Right? It's just pulling graphs using the standard elements you have available to you in Excel, but now it's doing so directly from NetSuite using real live data without you having to worry about refreshing it yourself. So I am curious if that answered your question, Susan, but now I'll also go back and look at the other questions.

Love to open it up in general if anyone has anything on their mind, otherwise to so, Nitika, we have is this returning live data? Correct.

It is returning live data. So every report that you're seeing here is pulling real time from NetSuite. Can you bring in revenue, etcetera, as a positive number based on what their usual sign is.

Yes. At the end of the day, however it's being reported in NetSuite is how the numbers are gonna be coming through from that signage. If you did want to have some sort of, say, absolute element so it always comes in positive, you absolutely can, leaning into Excel formulas to, to execute that.

You have standard formula sets that can be used to automatically query. Yes.

The standard formula sets would be the drop down functions that are there, along with the different accounts that are there. So the dialogue box, in a nutshell, is the quickest way to have the standards, because it pulls in the formulas for you.

So you don't have to worry about actually remembering what the formula is, whatever the layers are. Nothing along those lines will, will get in the way.

Does that does does it have the potential to slow down NetSuite due to the pull down of data? To date, we don't know any issue around that context.

Everything speed wise, efficiency wise has no impact. The last question so far, can you display actual budget and forecast versions?

Yes. You can. That's actually gonna be a part of the closing of the demo. So just hold your horses there, Luana, but I love where you're going because you're absolutely right.

Actuals, budgets, forecasts can be pulled from NetSuite, and it's actually the one two way connection. The only two way connection from s seven to NetSuite is being able to push your budgets back in also.

Otherwise, it's only a one way connection. It only pulls from NetSuite, but you can push your budgets back in.

Great questions across the board. Alright. One last one that came in.

Why can't Solution 7 export save reports from NetSuite without rebuilding in Excel? Why cannot why can't it export saved reports from NetSuite without rebuilding Excel?

Well, the element around NetSuite is limited with the NetSuite functionality. So NetSuite is able to provide x amount of reports in their specific formats, but then it's constrained by their own specific layers of their own segmentation.

And so with this connection into suite analytics that's now pulling information from NetSuite for you, technically, in that element, yes, you are rebuilding the reports, but you're rebuilding a more dynamic report that's going to actually update real time for you moving forward. Alright.

Great questions. So I'm a continue moving forward, and we'll come back to the Q&A here shortly. Before I do that, I do wanna bring your attention back to our presentation one time.

So what exactly did we go through to open this up? First, everything started with our disconnected reports.

Because we started with our disconnected reports, everything led into the inaccurate data that we were working through and how that information was going to be presented. Now because of all the layers coming through the real time reporting, the connections to your segments, and keep in mind your custom fields and segments as well, that's why with our functions, with the list, with the different components that are pulling the information into your Excel on your behalf, it ends up saving our customers hours on a weekly basis that ends up adding up not only from a from that current issue that they're dealing with, but from future proofing their reports across their subsidiaries for their team, for their locations, and whatever capacity.

And that brings us to the next two components we're gonna jump into around limited visibility and your distribution for your manual reports and actually being able to share them moving forward. But before we do that, we have one more poll.

So I'm gonna pass it back to Beth.

Bethany Nyberg

Allison, thanks, Chet. So, who loves a pivot table?

The poll question is, who is actively using pivot tables as a part of your Excel reporting today? So, yeah, some pivot table fans out there.

I thought there might be. So pop into, our poll section, give us your answer there, and we I think I know the answer, but we'll report on that. And while I've got the audience, there are fantastic questions coming through.

This is a great crowd, so thank you for being so actively engaged. We will have more time for Q&A, so please keep them coming.

I can see there's one more in there that we will get back to, but, keep the questions rolling in. We will, have dedicated time after this next section as well.

Alright. So, let's see. Yes.

99% of you. No surprises there.

Chet Sekhon

No surprises.

Bethany Nyberg

Alright.

Chet Sekhon

Yeah.

Bethany Nyberg

No surprises.

Chet Sekhon

I'm almost more curious about the two people that said no on on how they're how they're getting by without it, but it's impressive impressive without a doubt.

And, yeah, if we were betting people, we would've won that bet pretty well because that's a common answer. Pivot tables are a core core part of financial reporting within Excel, and s seven absolutely leans into that.

And it leans into it in a manner of not just allowing you to see how your back end data comes together, It's actually one of my favorite elements across Solution 7 because it finally gives you the opportunity to build reports visually using your NetSuite segmentation as well. So I'm I'm gonna leave you on a little bit of a cliffhanger there because we're gonna get to the pivot tables in two minutes, but I did want to give you all that teaser because it's a very exciting part of s seven.

And the reason we're gonna get to it is because there's one component left to show you between, and that's around drillability. Now as we take a step back, we built this report out.

It's giving me context. I have my posting periods. It's showing it to me for my specific, year and criteria that I wanna see.

But let's say I wanna go ahead and see this exact report, or see the numbers that are making up this report. I wanna see this 1,900,000 for January, but I wanna understand how it's maybe breaking out by location, by department, by class, by account, by subsidiary, by transactional details.

With Zone, I can drill into the back end data of what makes this account seamlessly within Excel itself. And that's easy as quite literally right clicking on the number that makes it up, and now I'm able to see that one point out of that 1,900,000, majority of it actually lived for a location that is unassigned.

So that's a problem. Let me go ahead and drill even further. Now as I break it down by class, I'm gonna be able to see a breakout of that one one point four eight million broken out by a different segmentation.

And as you can get a feel of that flexibility of those layers and how I can get into this back end data without having to leave Excel, it you can get as granular or as microscopic as you prefer. For example, as I come back to the 1,900,000 that we started with, and let's say I wanna go ahead and drill all the way to the transactional detail, now the value of Zone comes in a whole different direction.

And if anyone was asking themselves and wondering what is it though where what are those additional layers on make what makes Zone so special, it's taking you from the front end of the report to the back end of the report. They're able to see it broken out based on class, subsidiary location, or transactional detail, giving you a line by line breakout of what makes up that specific report, that specific context, and that specific, criteria.

But then it takes it a step further by not just giving you a reference point of the invoice, but linking the actual transaction that it's that it's related to. So when I actually click on this URL, it's literally gonna open up my NetSuite login.

I log in, and it's gonna take me to the transaction. So the visibility in that connection while we're still in Excel is so true to NetSuite that it's gonna take you to, take you there from the beginning to the end of the process.

So, hopefully, some people on the call really enjoyed that element. I really enjoyed showing that on our demos.

Now coming back to where we left at, our pivot table. And you're gonna understand why I felt the need to show that before we got to the pivot table first.

And for the pivot table, we're gonna start with a brand new sheet. As we open up a new sheet, we go back to Solution 7, and now we finally move on to another icon.

And the very next icon you'll see directly is pivot table. And I know one of the questions that came in, just a few minutes ago was around inventory management.

So, Susan, you'll see right off the get go in the pivot table. We have budgets.

We have inventory snapshot. You have a transactions, nonposted transaction, and posted transactions all available as templatized templatized queries within s seven. For the sake of today's demo, I'm gonna use posted transactions where, you guessed it, I'm gonna see the exact same dialogue box I've been working through.

We're gonna fill in the exact same context we've been operating within across today's demo, but this time, I'm gonna go ahead and add a closing period as well. And now as I hit okay, what's happening here is that behind the scenes, my pivot table builder is coming together.

Just like I've mentioned numerous times already on the call, you have the ability to build out, anything you need using Excel functionality. So as you're gonna see the exact same pivot builder we're accustomed to seeing within Excel.

But the difference within this specific pivot pivot builder is going to be around how it can pull in that information. And what I mean by that is as the context comes together, as the layers are actually being built for your criteria, now what's gonna happen is that we will have not just visibility across the context for our layers, but as you pull in, let's say, for example, your account name, your, let's do the posting period, and then we have the actual amount.

Lo and behold, we have a similar report that we were working with immediately available directly in our, in our pivot table. We have accounts 4,000 all the way across.

We have our 2,900,000 we're working with, and everything that you see here is drillable. So I can get to the back end of what makes that data instantly.

Now the only distinction is in the pivot table, it's not linked. So you can still double click and get to the back end of the drill down, but you can't but it's not gonna be linked to to the transaction the way it is with the functions.

So not the end of the world, but I can see everybody on the other side of the screen relatively going, alright. Cool, Chet.

This is nice, but why does it make my life that much easier? Now we built this out with this few layers, around the context we were working with so far.

But let's say I wanted to go ahead and pull in anything I want for a pivot table, and I mean anything, I'm gonna go to Solution 7 table, and I'm gonna hit choose columns. Now I know no one else is on camera here.

I do want to caution and give everybody, a warning here that if you are standing, have a seat. Your knees may buckle because we have moments in our demos when customers see this part of s seven.

The possibilities of what can be accomplished truly expands. Because with choose columns, now you're going to see every single field and segment that exists in your NetSuite environment available to you to build out a report.

And you can get as macro or as micro as you prefer to get that level of detail that you need for your reports. So as I expand it with more information further and further and further into any category that exists, you can see it allowing me to get as granular into that context, like the original rate for that particular original price for the particular item versus the adjusted price that exists today or the lead time into the inventory side, handling costs, whatever it might be.

Again, if it exists in NetSuite, it will exist here as an option to pull in and create a report on that specific context. And the beauty is for any field that you pull in.

Right? Let's say I pull something from items. Maybe I pull something from location.

I pull something from project. You have all these different ways of seeing full name. Right?

And if we see a a common problem time and time again with people operating with NetSuite, they'll search for that information, but they'll get 10 different versions of that same exact information. Now when you're building out your reports, it's as easy as double clicking to get that particular information across.

And then when that information is across, you'll see you have visibility in the source column. You know what that ties to.

And the beauty of knowing that is because when I double click on that column that I just pulled in, I can rename it. Maybe I wanna call it project name, and it's live.

Right? Because I changed the name of it, it's gonna be indicated there, but it's still giving me the source of where that information came from. And now by having the ability to, again, report on anything you can think of as long as it exists in NetSuite from a custom standpoint and from a native standpoint, this is a real real key feature that we see, customers getting really excited about and to take advantage of.

With that said, I'm gonna come back to the Q&A. I know I'm gonna do a quick time check here.

I've got twelve minutes left. Make sure we get to the last couple of pieces here as well. So we talked about inventory, saved account hire can you set can you save can you save account hierarchies separate to what is in NetSuite?

I'd be curious about expanding on that question a little bit because I'd be curious about the why. Technically, otherwise, from a leading practice standpoint, we lean into your account hierarchies that exist in NetSuite because we want to use that as your primary source of truth.

So with NetSuite being that single source of truth, that's the foundation of how it comes together. When it comes to the payroll side, it can work with it.

But, again, I don't wanna expand on what exactly the use case is because, technically, it can work with any element around our modules. It's more so disconnected from them because it's operating from, a financial reporting side but still being able to pull in potential payroll information.

When you drill down to the tax I'm guessing that's taxes. I see TXS, etcetera.

Does it always open a new worksheet? Oh, okay.

Yes. It'll always open a new sheet for your drill downs. And along with that, if your question was tracking in this direction, if I come back to the sheet that I started with, you'll actually notice towards the end of our icons, the fourth to last is called delete drill down.

And so the beauty of how s seven's been created, it's about empowering the end user. As I said at the very beginning of the call, we're here just to make your life easier.

If it's not gonna make your life easier, maybe it's not meant for you. Right?

There no harm, no foul. But around making your life easier, it's also, been focused on being able to keep things clean.

So with a single button, I can delete all those sheets that were now created, getting back to the one I started with minus the two I manually created on the pivot table side. So, hopefully, that'll give some context on the on the question there, Chet.

Is the license for product issued on a site site wide basis or a user basis? If a user if a user if a file containing the formula sent to a user does not okay.

I'm gonna answer your question here just in a few minutes because you're gonna see it for yourself. But, yeah, you can lock the formulas.

You can remove the formulas and just leave values. You have a few different options, when it comes to sharing the actual report, which leads into the next question.

Bethany's around being able to save the customized Solution 7 Excel reports, to automatically update every month. Absolutely.

Without that being an option, we wouldn't be in business. S seven has truly been designed around being able for you to have customized Excel reports that are automatically updating every month, every week, every day, every minute because it's pulling live from NetSuite.

Awesome. Love the questions. So ten minute check. I'm gonna be sure we get to the last few components here before we wrap things up.

Well, of course, we wanna see who's gonna win that gift card. Right?

So now as we bring us to the closing of the demo, that actually leads in perfectly into those last couple of questions we had, both around shareability and around the the context on budgets, forecasting, and real time visibility between both layers. So in order to do that, now what we're gonna do is speak to a couple of different examples around our templates.

So here, we have what we call our automation sheet. In our automation sheet, you're gonna see a few different rows here, at the bottom.

So let me explain exactly what you're looking at. First, cell one is alluding to the different sheets in a workbook that will pull the context that it wants to report on.

So San Francisco might be a core report on a sheet, then you might have a quality assurance testing for the San Francisco, then you have the inventory that's pending inspections. Right?

Within those actual reports, you'll have different names. So one might be called the report for San Francisco.

One might be called San Francisco for the, QA hold. But along with that, you can also change the file format.

So it can be an Excel file or a dot PDF. It's gonna use the actual extension that you end the name with and create that file format when it's distributed.

Along with that, you can determine if it's gonna be sent to one individual or multiple individuals or an email list serve. It's as simple as inputting that information into these cells, both for naming, email address, and how it's gonna go to those individuals.

So let me show you an example. As we look at the context we're seeing, now we have a sheet dedicated to San Francisco.

We have a sheet dedicated to San Francisco on the QA hold, and we have a sheet dedicated to San Francisco's receiving inspection. Now why am I showing you this version of these details?

Because everything is being pulled from San Francisco. The beauty here is that it's as easy as creating multiple different sheets that now can filter to that particular criteria, and it stays updated real time within a single workbook.

So you can have as many workbooks as you need dedicated to the macro and micro layers of your reporting needs that are now giving you that context. And so now when you wanna go ahead and share or distribute the report that you put together, going back to the template that we're creating it in, now as I go to email sheets and our options, you're gonna see that we can determine whether we want to leave the formulas, drop the formulas, or lock the formula values.

So this is where even as you're building out these real time live reports within Excel pulling from NetSuite, you can still distribute and share these live NetSuite reports to your team, and you can determine whether they just gotta see the values or do you want to they want to be able to see the formulas that originated the values. And the only distinction I'll make here is around user licenses.

Right? If you do have a user license, you can drill down into the cells as we saw. If you do not have a user license, you cannot drill down or see a live refresh.

So that's the one distinction around or I guess the two distinctions, excuse me, around with a license or without a license. So that's one thing to take into account.

Along with that, you have the option to actually, provide a passport, password protection as well if you needed to. So I can't recall who asked the question, but, hopefully, that answers the sharing side of the layer.

And that brings us to budgets and forecast, which you're not gonna get too deep into, but I do want you to be able to see what that exactly means. So as we come to our budget template, now we have our context for this specific, location around the budget in front of us.

As I mentioned earlier, everything around s seven is only a one way connection from NetSuite to, to Nets excuse me, NetSuite to Excel. And now since we are on the Excel side, with budgets and forecast, you can push your budgets from Excel back to NetSuite as well, and that's the only thing you're able to push back.

So as we go into mapping, you're gonna see, a window that, keep in mind, I'm operating in my demo environment. So I have my subsidiaries, my periods, my accounts.

And as I click between each of these sections, you're seeing, it highlight that those components and those cells within my actual sheet. And so similarly, as I get to budgets, I only have one budget category in my demo environment.

But if I had different budgets around years, location, subsidiaries, all of them would be visible in this section because it says multiple budgets. Along with that, similarly, for optional fields and segments, I would see all of my fields and segments exist here beyond class, department, etcetera.

All those different layers would also be visible here. Because this is able to map back, now by having this information in Excel and tied to NetSuite, with a simple click of a button, I'm able to upload it, pushing it back into the system.

And now as I come back to the examples we opened with, you'll see here in a rolling forecast template that we have and is available to everyone that signs up for s seven, this exact reporting pack would be available to you because it also gives you stages of training. Right?

It gives you those layers of, okay. How do we go how did we come to this rolling forecast and variance report?

Well, it's because this formula is pulling this context from this element from this piece. So because it's pulling it across these layers and you can see that on the function that we opened with, it was s n s dot GLA bell.

There's also NS GLA bud for budget. So both of these formulas are working in tandem to provide my actuals within my report and then comparing it against my forecast, giving me that context visibly in this example here on the template.

So I know I ran through all these different layers, but we are coming up on time. So I just wanted to check-in, see how everybody's feeling.

I know no one can ask questions audibly, but, please, you can get them in the chat as we're gonna come back to the presentation to close things out. But I do hope everyone enjoyed all the different layers and all the different components around s seven's demo as we wrap things up at last.

Bethany Nyberg

Just a final, two slides before we let everybody go. You can jump to join us for another event.

I am going to do a shameless plug for my next series of events. We are hosting senior finance leaders in person at some great lunches.

So I'm running off to Melbourne right now, so probably too late for you to join us there. Sydney is actually very, very full.

But if you are in Hong Kong or Singapore, please get out your phone, scan the QR code. We would love you to attend.

So we're hosting, a really curated table of finance leaders. We have the former CFO of Uber, Rose Perkunas, who's gonna be hosting a conversation with F.

Shaw, fraud AI, the changing landscape for the CFO. So it's gonna be a great session.

So we'd love you to join us there. And then our final thing that we have time for, is of course, we wouldn't skip this, is the drawing of our $50 winner.

So thank you for hanging in there. Wish us luck.

This bit's very tricky. So hopefully Chet's, you can figure out the spinning wheel, and we can find our winner for the day.

Chet Sekhon

Let's see.

Bethany Nyberg

We've done well. We've done well.

Chet Sekhon

Let's see if we can we can close strong at least. Alright.

We have

Bethany Nyberg

This is the most important bit. Alright.

Let's spin her up.

Chet Sekhon

Drumroll. Yeah.

Ian, by a. hair.

Bethany Nyberg

Ian, we will be getting in contact with you with your voucher. So, thank you so much, Chet.

He stayed up very late to, to present this for us, so we are very grateful. There were some remaining questions.

We'll review them. We'll reach out to each of you with this recording, and the opportunity to book more time in with our specialist team, including Chet, if we can help you further with, any of the Zone products or reporting in Excel. Thank you so much for for tuning in everybody, and we'll see you soon.

Chet Sekhon

Thanks, everyone. Take care. Bye bye.
